What do you do when a loved one doesn't remember where they live?

  1. Hi there!

This is a great question and also a tricky topic. In our family's situation with my grandmom we just had to go over to her house and stay there for awhile to talk to her. Eventually we were able to convince her that she was already home.

Every situation is different, unfortunately. I hope this is helpful!

    Sincerely,

    1. Hi everyone. It's been a while since this topic was "up front". Has anyone encountered this when caring for their loved one? I know a member form our Facebook community was, by the grace of the creator, outside when a woman came and started rooting in her mailbox, and thought the member's house was her house. As our member's husband had Alzheimer's, she handled it with empathy and grace, and got the woman back home.

Has your loved one had trouble finding their way back home? What safeguards do you have in place to help? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
