Mommy Is a Fighter

My mom is 84 years old and has had Alzheimer's disease for more than 7 years. She is at stage 6.

She not giving up and she tries to feed herself. She can't express her feelings but she shows it. Even though she doesn't recognize us anymore she gives us her love and hugs.

Is hard seeing my mom decline slowly each day. It is also a battle that no matter how we try to fight it, apparently the disease always wins, but mom fights and fights - deep down she is not ready to give up. So I'm not either, even though I'm struggling with the death of my son 10 months ago. I place my focus on mom to fight harder; I'm not ready to let her go too.

Mom loving the day
