Tom's Diagnosis Story

I was getting lost while driving. Then I noticed that I was not able to make decisions. Went to the doctor for evaluation. After 2.5 years of testing, which culminated with a spinal tap they told me I had EOAD.

Alzheimer's, I was only 58! I asked for a 2nd opinion! Was sent to John's Hopkins. After a day long evaluation I was told to go home and congratulate my team of doctors on the excellent dx.

I was immediately started on Aricept and later Namenda was added.

I'm 72 now and fairly lucid!

This is my story.
