It's in the Family

My father had Alzheimers starting at age 80 and lived to be 90, lived with my brother and his family, and attended adult daycare as his disease started to affect his behavior and inability to remain independent.

Mine started at age 72 and I'm wondering what my life expectancy will be. Maybe I will still have 10 relatively good years before I die, just like my Dad. I am hoping my husband will still be able to care for me as my disease progresses, until I die. Also wondering if I will be passing on this disease to my son and/or grandson. I am getting a genetic test to see if I may have genes that predispose me to this disease. None of my 3 siblings have the disease.

This is my story.
