Mom's Alzheimer's Progression

My mom is 87 with Alzheimer's and she is on week 4 of being at her memory care facility. This was one the hardest decisions I have had to make.

My mom is not in the present anymore, she is back in the past. We have a hard time following her conversations. Most times we have no idea what she is talking about. She has forgotten names so has no clue who she is talking about.

I cry every day, never thought I would be in this position. Mom was always strong willed and independent. It is heartbreaking to watch her disappear in front of me.

Can you relate? What support and or resources are helpful as Alzheimer's progresses? Let us know in the comments.
