care taker support

I don't know of any local caretaker groups, but I am a caretaker myself as are many of us on this site. I recently became one only a year or so ago, and I had to learn so much in a short time. I am in a much better place now than I was when I started, it was soul-crushing at first and I thought my life was over. Sufficed to say it wasn't - thankfully, and we have reached an equilibrium that works for all of us. I know it's not an in-person support group but just know you are not alone and if there's anything we can do to help let us know.
