  1. Is there anyone here that is a caregiver for BOTH of their parents diagnosed with alzheimer's at the same time?

    1. , thank you so much for starting a discussion with this question. We are grateful to have you here with us in our community. I can only imagine how incredibly difficult this must be for you to have both of your parents diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the same time. My heart truly goes out to you and your parents. Taking care of my Mom was very demanding and time consuming. I would think it would require a Herculean effort to take care of both parents. You are incredible. Your parents are truly blessed to have you to take care of them and to love them. Please know that our community is here to support you in any way we can. We are thinking of you. Warmly, Pam-Community Moderator

  3. Thank you Kristin. I must say that most days the ability to sit down, read posts, answer, and discuss our pretty much if I dream, lol. I do however really appreciate the fact that, this group is there when I needed the most. As of lately, I usually barely get logged in, and fall asleep. As I am sure a lot of you know exactly what I mean hehehe. But I'm honored to be proud of this group and I believe that everyone here has something to be proud of in themselves and definitely something worthy of sharing that one of us may need. So I hope you're having a great night, and I will try to read daily, and I will pipe in when I can. I am still however looking for someone somewhere it has two parents that were diagnosed at the same time. I was told that it was rare, I guess I just didn't know how rare. Hugs to all of you my strengths and wisdom be yours everyday, and don't forget to look yourself in the mirror and see the person looking back at you and be proud of them!

    1. Thank you SO much for your beautiful words. I'm often amazed at the encouragement we can give others, while we ourselves are walking on a very difficult and heartbreaking path. It must be truly exhausting in so many ways to have to care for both parents on this journey. You are an amazing daughter. I'm sure that they are both so very appreciative of everything you do for them. What a true blessing and gift you are to them. Don't ever feel like you have to contribute or comment in this community. We get the road and know how truly exhausting it is. We just want you to never feel like you walk alone on this road. We are always here to listen and support you. We've all been touched by this disease in one way or another. I'm hoping someone in this community will see your post and comment as well about caring for both parents with this disease at the same time. I know people have had parents diagnosed one after the other, but haven't seen the two at the same time. Hoping we can find someone who can walk with you. Thank you for being here.
