Have you experienced placing a spouse in assisted living?

Hi, unfortunately the time has come to put my husband in an Assisted Living Place. It is such a hard decision, and I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to tell him. He has lived in the same house for 48 yrs....I really do not know what his reaction is going to be...maybe say some prayers for a smooth transition...
Thank you

  2. I guess my number one concern would be safety. Will he be in a locked unit so he doesn't wander away? Is it assisted living just for dementia patients?

    1. Yes, it is. Thank you!!!

    2. Hi @Mattkay1030, sending good thoughts and (((hugs))) - Warmly, Donna (team member)

  3. I agree. Safety is always a big concern. May you be blessed along your journey>

    1. Yes it is, the wandering was increasing, so scary. Thank you so very much!
