How does faith or spirituality help you cope with an Alzheimer's diagnosis?

Many people in our community have mentioned that their faith has played a significant role in coping with their diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one. Has faith or spirituality played a role in your coping?

  1. Without faith, I could not carry on in a helpful way.

    1. I know what you mean. My strength is renewed day by day. I try not to get too far ahead of myself and let a new day give me a new lease on caregiving. Blessings, Kathy M team member.

    1. This helps me as well. I often ask myself what important lessons am I learning in this? How can I help others who are facing challenges? Scott AlzheimersDisease.net Team Member

  3. Truly, I hope my story helps others just like theirs does me. I wish this disease on no one, but there is solace knowing that I am not alone. I know that God is with me everyday, in struggles and laughter. I am finding that sometimes I just have to laugh at myself instead of taking this so serious.

    1. I really appreciate how you are handling this and your amazing attitude. I think it helps both other patients and caregivers as well. You are not alone and are an inspiration. thank you. Scott AlzheimersDisease.net Team Member
