Help with my mum

This morning, I greeted my mother, and she seemed unsure about how she was feeling. As we discussed breakfast, she couldn't recall if she had eaten. I reassured her and guided her to the dining area, but her questions persisted. The confusion in her voice was evident, and she expressed frustration about the overall confusion she felt.

I tried my best to make things clearer, telling her we were heading to breakfast. Despite my efforts, she seemed agitated and questioned the confusion around her. It became apparent that she wasn't in the mood to eat, and I respected that, assuring her I'd be nearby if she needed anything. What to do?

  1. Hi , it seems like you handled everything perfectly - not trying to convince her, showing support and validation of her feelings. Maybe if she is unsure if she ate breakfast, just steer her towards how she is feeling, "If you're feeling hungry, we can get a snack". That may take the pressure off the "routine" of breakfast. How is she doing now? And how are you feeling? -Warmly, Donna (team member)
