Jessica C. Guthrie
Jessica C. Guthrie is a caregiving strategist, Alzheimer's advocate, and founder of Jessica C. Guthrie Caregiving Consultancy, dedicated to making family caregivers visible in healthcare systems, workplace policies, and organizational strategies. For over 11 years, Jessica has been the primary caregiver for her mother living with early-onset Alzheimer's disease—a journey that began when she was 26 years old and fundamentally shaped her understanding of the systemic gaps in caregiver support.
As a Dartmouth graduate, Teach For America alumna, and former nonprofit executive, Jessica brings both lived caregiving experience and strategic leadership expertise to her work. She partners with healthcare organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and national advocacy groups to bridge the gap between what caregivers actually need and what institutions think they need.
Jessica's work centers on a simple truth: the 63 million family caregivers in America cannot remain invisible in conversations about care. As a young, Black, millennial solo caregiver, she brings urgent visibility to demographics often overlooked in caregiving narratives while addressing the disproportionate impact of Alzheimer's on communities of color.
Her expertise has been featured in PBS documentaries, major publications, and policy forums from the United Nations to Capitol Hill. Through speaking engagements, strategic consulting, and educational workshops, Jessica is committed to transforming how organizations support caregivers—ensuring they move from being an afterthought to becoming integral partners in care.
Jessica believes caregivers deserve more than sympathy. They deserve systems that work. Follow her on Instagram: Jessica_C_Guthrie or visit her website JessicaCGuthrie.com.
