What to expect !

I took care of my brother-inlaw until he needed care we could not give hime at home !
So for three years I watched the man I knew disappear until he needed more care than we could give .
Now I was told I have Alzheimer's. Looking back , I had a hunch it might be there when I had trouble passing a few of the test's they gave him 6 yrs ago .
The thing is , when the Dr wanted to explain what to expect I unfortunately already knew .
I guess knowing puts me at an advantage and disadvantage at the same time !
The advantage : like giving her the keys to the vehicles without an argument. I had one near miss and I gave her my keys .
I already have the answers to many questions that my brother in-law had .
I'm not saying that I will be any easier , but I hope I can make it easier as it progresses.

  1. Hi I think you are right with having the advantages and disadvantages of knowing so much about your diagnosis. But like you said, having this knowledge will hopefully help you and your loved ones know what to expect. Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Jill (Team Member)
