Rexulti Side Effects

I started a post about six weeks ago - Qustions about mild dementia diagnosis - and got good responses. So now we’re down to the wire. My wife has reluctantly started taking Rexulti as of yesterday. She’s still scared of the listed side effects. So here, I’m asking if anyone here is or has taken Rexulti and experienced the SEs that honesty sound worse than the conditions that it’s prescribed for.

  1. Hi , I hope all goes well with her use of Rexulti. I'm hoping members of the community will weigh in. I was unable to find anyone who had already discussed their experience. I'm going to tag in and , to see if they can provide any insight. Let us know how things are going! - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

    1. She has another appointment with her neurologist to see how it’s going. We talked to him about our plan to see a Geriatrician and he’s fine with us getting a second opinion, but unfortunately our appointment with the Geriatrician is a week after our appointment with him. Kinda wish it could’ve been the other way around. According to the information and registration packet we got from her (the geriatrician), she does a much more in-depth evaluation, including what they say is a “hair to toenail” assessment. (I’m actually looking forward to that. So which ever way the second opinion goes I think I’ll have at least a better understanding of what’s going on. Plus, the lady who does her scheduling is a social worker and Dementia Care Specialist who also runs a caregiver support group which I may soon been joining. I’m gonna need it.
      I’ll be back.

    2. , oh that sounds hopeful, it looks like you'll have lots of support and invested members in the care team! I'm glad that you found this practitioner! Let us know how it goes! I'm sending love and light. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

  2. Sorry - can't be of much help here. Of the 30 - 40 patients in our support group none have been placed on Rexalti.

Olden - would be good to hear how it goes - whether great or not so good. We can pass along what you find out.

    1. , thanks for jumping in <3 Please let us know if it should happen to come up. - Warmly Donna (Team Member)

  3. Will do!
