Approved Drugs Lacanemab and Donanemab

I have met a few folks with ALZ Disease that are on the newly approved drugs Lacanemab and Donanemab, administered via IV and the feedback varied. Has anyone tried and saw success? Did your physician recommend?

  1. I am waiting myself to see if we can afford Leqembi. Scary to me. Is it worth the risk? Some articles say it is not worth the risk. Who is right? Have you gone to Google Scholar to read the studies?

    1. , that is hard because everyone reacts differently. I did find this article on the NIH site https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37676096/ - I hope that can help answer some of your questions.

If Leqembi is not right for you (please talk to your doctor), other beta-amyloid inhibitors that may be better suited for you, and again, your doctor can help with that.
