We all take on many identities throughout our lives. What identities would you use to describe yourself? For example, I am a daughter, a sibling, a cat parent, a friend, and a bread baker.

, I love how you included some of the things that feed your soul, as well as the things where you are in a support role! It is so easy to forget those things when we try to define ourselves. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

I am the husband/caretaker of a wife diagnosed with Alzheimer's about one year ago. So far, she has not shown any, or most, of the horrifying signs of Alzheimer's. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. We are both in our 80s, very eager to return to our heavenly home. Meanwhile, we are not in any real supportive group. I do increase my worry as I may or may not be able to handle caretaking for a long time or what the shoe drops. Help !

Hi , we're glad you're here. Please know there is much wisdom and help here. You can contact your state Department of Aging, which will be able to help you with in-home care, and you can also contact Medicare for assistance. You can find a support group near to you by contacting alz.org, or connecting with , a member who runs a local support group with his wife (we have a forum around that here https://alzheimersdisease.net/forums/finding-or-forming-local-community-groups) - I hope that helps. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can help! - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
