I know what's coming !

I Went from a caregiver, to being diagnosed with Dementia myself .
The worst part is , I know what is coming with nothing I can do about it ! I'm too used to to being in charge , not being taken care of .
I diagnosed myself and the Drs confirmed it last week .
I know what to look forward to and I am doing everything the Drs suggested to stay as independent as possible.

  1. That sounds tough. What are some helpful pieces of advice you've received from your doctors? Is there anything they suggested you didn't know earlier as a caregiver?

  2. I'm sorry. I see it in 2 of my sisters now and worry for myself. I do brain training every day. Listen to music and bought a keyboard as studies show the act of making music may deter alzheimers. I eat lots of good foods Stay away from processed foods and anything in packaged. MUST eat more wild caught salmon. Great brain food. Mum was on a statin for years, now a known cause for dementias. 🙄
