Told my daughter I had been diagnosed with pre-clinical Alzheimer’s. She started pulling away, and now only allows me minimal contact with my grandkids. Wishing I hadn’t told her!

Hi I am so sorry to hear this. This must be devastating for you. I wonder if she needs more information to understand your diagnosis. Maybe that would help her process what is going on. I am sending over a few articles if you think it would be helpful to share with her: https://alzheimersdisease.net/living/family-history, https://alzheimersdisease.net/relationships and https://alzheimersdisease.net/living/cope-with-early-onset-diagnosis. I hope this helps. Jill (Team Member)

She understands it perfectly well. That’s why she’s pulling my grandkids away from me.
